Trained in one of the best youth academies in Italian football, the Roman Filippo Missori achieved the dream of debuting for the club he loves during the 2022/2023 season under the guidance of Jose Mourinho: AS Roma. That same year, after progressing through all the youth levels of the Italian National Team, he had the opportunity to lift the UEFA Under-19 Championship trophy as one of the team’s captains.

That summer, US Sassuolo signed him, but after two seasons in which he struggled to find the continuity he deserved, he is now, at 21 years old, facing a new season on loan at US Avellino. In the early part of the season, he has become one of the team’s undisputed starters, showing outstanding performances.

At just 21 years old, Filippo combines a level of experience that, together with his youth, makes him one of the most promising right-backs in Italian football. He is an extremely versatile player with great stamina along the right flank, allowing him to perform both as a defensively solid right-back and as an attacking right wing-back with impressive speed and attacking depth. He is capable of pacing and regulating his efforts while reading the different phases of the game with great intuition and maturity.
